2008 Presidential Election

What does everybody think of the candidates? All the people I really like seem to have no chance, based on the polls. I really like Dennis Kucinich, but there is no chance of him being elected. I do not like Hillary Clinton. I disagree with a lot of what she says. I like Edwards more than her, but I do not really like him either. Obama is my favorite out of the top three Democrats, but he seems inexperienced. I do not like any of the Republicans (some of them seem a little nuts to me), but out of them, my pick is Ron Paul. He seems like the only nearly sane one, even though I do not agree with a lot of what he says. So anyway, what does everybody else think?

Campbell,
So, you say the people running this country have seriously messed it up. I agree, but am curious...what exactly do you mean? How have they (we?) messed it up? What could/should be different? What would you say are the necessary foundations of America as a country and if that (those) have been messed with what do we do now?
Give me some HOPE, girlfriend!

I think Obama would be a great president. Unfortunately, he does seem a little inexperienced. I'm just not sure if he's ready. I'm still a little torn about him. I think he is by far the best out of the top three democrats, though, and much saner than any of the republicans. If he runs in 2012, though, I'll vote for him for sure.

Sorry, I accidentally deleted this, so I'm reposting it:
This country should be based on freedom and morals, not jail cells and torture! For starters, we need to start governing by the constitution again. The current administration seems to have forgotten that it exists. Suspending Habeas Corpus for a certain group of people? That is just awful and un-American! We need to stop focusing on money and power and start focusing on equal rights for everyone. We need to guarantee equality for everyone- legalize gay marriage, close the wage gap between men and women, guarantee women the right to an abortion, etc. The government needs to stop blatantly lying to the American people. We need to stop killing innocent people. Laws need to be put in place that help the people that need it- people living in poverty, the homeless, people living paycheck to paycheck, NOT corporations! The issues that mean the most to me, personally, are the issues concerning the rights of the American people (and yes, that includes illegal immigrants). America was founded on freedom and inequality. What would our founding fathers say if they knew our politicians were trying to pass an amendment that would take away people's rights? It's just wrong. We are not old enough to vote or run for office, but we can make a difference. We can spread the word, we can picket, we can protest! We need to because the people in charge right now really need a wake up call.

Hey why do we always blame the presidents. Yes they probably contribute to problems, but we the people are greedy, not wise with our money, and blame everybody but ourselves. In the Bible it clearly talks about how homosexual relationships are wrong. It also talks about how abortions are wrong. Even if you are raped it is not the baby's fault. ADOPTION!!! So if you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ you know who to vote for. John McCain. I'm not saying I agree with him one hundred percent. But he has values.
